Every normal gnocchi contains wheat. Where do you think flour comes from?
Someone challenged your assertion that it's "chemical stew" and you got a little sour. No need to reduce yourself to such a low level. Maybe provide a helpful suggestion like what people can buy instead? Otherwise, you have just done worthless nitpicking.

No....actually I'm not "scared of words" that I don't recognize, expert! It's interesting how you chose not to single out the Potassium Sorbate! Gee, I wonder why? Perhaps this quote might help...."Potassium Sorbate: A preservative used to suppress formation of molds and yeasts in foods, wines and personal care products. In-vitro studies suggest that it is toxic to DNA and has a negative affect on immunity".
So a little potassium sorbate is a "chemical stew"? Where's the other chemicals in the stew. Nice how you left out the ridiculous concentrations in the study you are referencing. Humans are also in vivo; not in vitro.
I wasn't aware that you were a scientist! You should've mentioned that originally! If, indeed, you're so knowledgeable on this subject, you should realize that studies of this specific nature are performed "in-vitro" and not "in-vivo". What purpose would it serve to provide further details of that study? Firstly, argumentative, nitpicking types such as yourself would find fault regardless. Secondly, since you're so enlightened on the subject, you'd would already know the details of that study.
My original point was, why not avoid potentially harmful chemicals in food if you possibly can. Is that unreasonable? Of course not!....but you'll likely rebuke that regardless! Enjoy your chemically enhanced food products and continue to make excuses for consuming them!

I LOVE Gnocchi but the vacuum packed ones are just terrible. When you boil them they decintegrate into starchy sticky blobs. They taste like a mass of chemicals. Frozen Gnocchi are superior but it is hard to find them any longer (at least in Florida). Rosina Foods (Celentano) stopped making the frozen ones so the only ones you find around me are the vacuum packed ones. Rana has some fresh ones (refrigerated section) that are pretty good.

I agree that frozen Gnocchi are vastly superior! Both Whole Foods and Trader Joe's have frozen Gnocchi....but I don't know if either have any locations in your area. The Rana are pretty good (and available at certain Walmart and Target stores). These De Cecco brand Gnocchi taste like a "chemical stew" and (as you noted) the texture also leaves something to be desired. A one and done for me (bought them locally some time ago).

Not this one.
I was referring to the ones here, not the "Pampa" at Dollar Tree.
