I ordered at this price. Amex gives me 120$ off of 599, and I had a chase offer of 5% cash back. Dell allows split payments, so I split 600 on Amex and 1650 with chase. So I should be getting this for around 2050$. I did not upgrade any of the components as dell is ripping you off here. I bought a 2tb WD SN850X for 150 and 64 GB of ram for 150$ to do it myself. I thought about the CPU upgrade and realized I stopped overclocking any of my stuff now for stability, and I couldn't justify the i9 for the extra ecores.
With a 4090? Not a chance.

You can knock $400 off by choosing the 4080.
Jebus. At that price you could sell the GPU and keep the rest for almost free.

An RTX 4090 is $2K as it is, so you basically have a full gaming PC (that isn't flashy) for $2250 with a 4090, which is actually a good deal. The only problem is if the 4090 is proprietary.

Proprietary how?

It uses the reference card spec, so the worst case is that the cooling is a little anemic.

It looks like they updated the coupon processing.

I tried multiple email codes and they all replace the 10OFFCLEAR code when added.

4090 are selling for around 1500-1700.. you'd be lucky to net 1400.. so no, not worth it at all! If you need a 4090,then this a good deals, otherwise you're not flipping this for anything worth while

Is this the same deal as the other xps system that was on front page?
Yes, it's exactly the same but around $30 cheaper without any extra discounts (which apparently aren't stackable). This is also already mentioned in my post along with the previous deal's link.

This is $45 cheaper for the config I just got. Not worth risking the Amex and cash back site discounts but a slight bummer.

Checking on pcpartpicker.com, the videocard, CPU, RAM, and m.2 drive will set someone back around $2,150 new. Trying to flip them as used will not get you close to that price. The rest of the parts are Dell proprietary.

As for the video card, they're prone to connector overheating (like every 4090), fluctuate more in clock speeds vs normal partner brands, and have a locked BIOS based on reports given about them. They're fine for a SSF build though; if you grab a powerful enough power supply and have ample cooling since both are major issues in small builds.

Personally, I think this is only a good deal if looking at specifically this build and don't mind being stuck in Dell's ecosystem. I'd never spend this much on any Dell branded desktops, but to each their own.

It's easier than you think. The hardest part is configuration and tweaking it so it runs stable. 🖥 🤔 💭

Should be FP. This is literally $50 cheaper than the deal last week I got. Stupid Dell, what's next week? Another $50 off? lol

I think the main point of this system is the GPU. Kinda pointless to sell the GPU and keepthe rest as it will be a waste of time. Imo of course.
I mean, it depends. Removing the GPU and listing on ebay or whatever would take 15 minutes. Time to sell and price will be location based. Lets say a flat $1600. You now have a decent PC for about $550 after CB. Closest you'll come to that is $700 from Costco, and you give up the 1000W psu and liquid cooling, but you do gain 3yr warranty.

My recommendation is go for 13900k cpu, this has almost doubled the cpu benchmark compared with the 13700, for 270$ difference
