Cant tell if this is a joke. This is a complete waste of money for Plex transcoding. A <$400 PC with an Intel CPU can easily do multiple 4k transcodes due to quicksync while using a fraction of the power as using the 4070 for transcodes.
Can I add a second GPU? Need lots of gpu memory for AI
Damn why the downvotes? I'm just trying to run PyTorch with multiple GPUs…
PSU seems like it can handle it but not sure about the motherboard if it has the spacing
i love the logic of all the dell deals w/ Amex. The only Amex cards that get the Dell promo have an annual cost of like $100 and upwards, diminishing returns moose!!!!!!

I agree. I would never hold a credit card that has an annual fee.
The cyber power is better. Better CPU for gaming, better GPU, more ram, better case. But if you can get this Dell under 1000 like some people claim (due to various cash backs) then the Dell is a better deal.

Agreed. The Cyberpower deal was by far a better deal and well worth the extra $100 or so. Also, you'd get a better case, a real motherboard (versus whatever proprietary OEM thing DELL is doing) and better cooling.
I don't mean to bash the DELL. I've known a number of folks who bought Alienware systems and they worked fine for the time they had them. Besides, not everyone looks to buy a PC with the thought of upgrading - some folks run things as they come stock and don't intend on changing anything. The fact that the Alienware isn't nearly as upgradable and might leave a bit of performance on the table isn't a concern for some.
Also, with the somewhat improved thermal performance of the R15 coupled with lower power draw components (relatively speaking) in a 4070 and a 7700 non-X, overheating shouldn't be an issue like it was with, say, the R12.

I have an Amex Gold with a $200+ fee (but only for the last month or so) and Dell isn't even an offer available to me, so don't feel bad.

The Amex Platinum is free for military members and Morgan Stanley acct holders. Also saying diminishing returns condescendingly is weird; this is Slickdeals, of course people are trying to get their values worth

Pc parts picker literally does all the work for you. Click each component from the build you like and it'll suggest compatible parts.
