Saw Sawyer and thought it was the picaridin version. Good deal for Deet but it never seems to work for us. But using picaridin, not even rural Arkansas mosquitos in July would approach us.

Saw Sawyer and thought it was the picaridin version. Good deal for Deet but it never seems to work for us. But using picaridin, not even rural Arkansas mosquitos in July would approach us.

I'm with you. Picaridin has given me much better results, and Repel spray is a lot less annoying than anything with Deet that I've tried.

I like Repel in the red can. Seems like it isn't greasy, unlike every Deet product that claims to be non-greasy. Easy on synthetic fabrics, too. It's available practically everywhere, or anywhere that sells other repellents. Already linked above.

Does anyone have a good way to search Walmart's clearance items like this one? When I just filter for clearance, this item doesn't show up. So I think I'm missing something.

I use the Sawyer Picardin insect repellant. In the Deep South it is the only thing that will repel biting flies and gnats (we call them "no see-ums"). Also works better than DEET against virtually everything else.

The Sawyer Picardin spray is 20% Picardin. Works great on everything here in the Deep South. Available on Amazon

I would not be rubbing Deet lotion on my family. Deet is absorbed through the skin. I agree with others and use 20% picaridin and apply to clothes.
