I think most people do. I bought a Vizio 65" M658 new in early 2020. Luckily, I also bought the extended warranty. It's been repaired 3 times and is about to be repaired again. The first 2 times it failed were within the first year of ownership. TV would randomly reboot about every other day or so. The second issue was the audio would keep switching from my Soundbar to the TV speakers. I bought a replacement Soundbar thinking that was the problem but it wasn't. The third service call was the 1st problem again in year 3 of ownership. All 3 times they told me they replaced a board inside the TV but idk which board. Just this week, there's a large spot in the display where everything is pinkish, probably a 8"-9" area.

At this price, I would consider another Vizio but only with the extended warranty.

It's been 10 years since I bought my 55 Vizio from Sam's club. Still working nicely. But I think it's time to replace it with a newer model . 😅

Dear Slick deal friends, something many of you may not know... (1) Vizio stores and collects YOUR data of what you watch and then sells that data to advertisers (anyone can pay them and get that data) 2. Vizio is made in china (like many things) 3. Walmart has agreed to or has already bought this JUNKY cheapest TV manufacturer so now Walmart will own your data from Vizio Company purchase adding to the data Walmart collects who buys what and when.

Oh, by the way other TV makers collects and sells your data is LG.

Bloody crooks.

I wouldn't buy TV's of these crooks.

Good Luck

It's been the opposite for me. I have 4 sony TVs with the oldest being 15 years old. Never had a single issue other than a software glitch one time, and it was fixed.

Basically, maintenance on anything other than the screen for one of today's TVs involves either replacing the motherboard or the power board. If it is the display they just replace the whole TV.

I ALWAYS buy extended warranties on every major purchase...you chose well.

I bought my Vizio from Sam's club also when no one had heard of them. 2007 $1700 for a 47" lcd when plasma vs lcd was the big argument. Two hdmi ports and it weighed a ton. Lasted over a decade until the screen went black. Replaced every board on the inside and couldn't bring it back. Ended up with a Costco Hisense from a slickdeal but I had no idea Vizio had gone downhill like that.

I found this link. Can't believe I remembered the price exactly.

Mine lasted until around 2020 or 2021.

The 65" TCL that goes on sale for $228 every Black Friday at Wal-Mart got a 6.8 rating from rtings vs this TV that got a 6.7 rating.

TCL:

This Vizio:

You know it's bad when a TV with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and QLED gets beaten by a TV with none of those.
