The n100 is a very capable chip for its efficiency.
Weak also implies low power consumption. I'm planning to use this to run a few services (Proxmox as OS, Uptime Kuma, Ntfy, Wireguard) as a server in my networking closet and the price couldn't be beat, especially since I have some spare ram and ssd that was unused.
Was either this or was Raspberry Pi 5, and this ended up a better cost/performance for me after considering the extra accessories I'd need for the PI.
N100 Passmark score is 5555, that's basically an Intel 7th gen i5, minus 60w. For low powered mini machine it's not bad at all. Sure someone could buy a dell Optiplex ultra small form factor pc but they would be missing out on some modern features and considerably more power consumption

I got mine today. Its is an excellent mini pc. installed RAM, SSD and Windows. Couple of issues to keep in mind.
First issue: You will need ethernet to activate windows as wifi didn't work out of the box. Wifi works after installing wifi driver in windows.
Second issue: Please do not install MSI center. It will constantly use more than 50% of cpu.
I just installed 8gb ddr4 3200hz ram, waiting for 16gb ram to be delivered. Even with 8gb ram it's snappy. boots in 11 seconds which beats my expensive Lenovo ideacentre that has 32gb ram, 13th gen core I5 13500H processor pc by 4 seconds. I believe the difference is bios/mother board boot time.
I can confirm that this PC can take a 32GB DDR4 SODIMM. I also dropped in a 2TB m.2 NVME SSD. I know it's overkill for this CPU but I am having fun with it.

Wow. It's really a snappy processor for web browsing, watching videos etc.
Question: did your machine come with power button extension?

I installed Linux Mint and agree it performs well enough once I upgraded to the latest kernel with iGPU support.
My machine did not come with a power button extension, I didn't know that was a thing until you mentioned it and I found it on the website. It came with a SATA motherboard connector and VESA mounting hardware.

Mine didn't come with it either. I emailed customer service about it. Waiting for response.

Thanks for contacting the MSI US Store! After confirming with our Product Manager, it looks like the external power switch is not included with the Cubi N Mini PC. We have gone ahead and updated our product page to reflect this and have removed the image with the power switch to prevent any further confusion. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused.

That is just asking for a reply email by you saying: great, so when should I expect my external power switch.
This is a nice little cost effective mini PC, as long as you do a completely clean Windows 11 Pro installation from USB stick (register it first with the factory installed OS then wipe/nuke it). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CQLX2XP3/

N95, so I think the GPU isn't quite as strong as the N100. Not sure the Plex implications.

That will stop a basic "I downloaded something dumb from an XYZ site" but won't stop a deliberate plant from someone aware of what they are doing: https://www.pcmag.com/news/malwar...%20storage..
Lest it not be obvious, the best path is to buy from vendors you trust. For example, I trust ... Apple. That's about it. Maybe HP on a good day, maybe Dell too.

If GPU is an interest, the N97 is a significant step up (from both the N95 and the N100, oddly enough). One random one I see is https://www.amazon.com/GMKtec-Nuc...CG8Z9B/ref or another, cheaper, https://www.amazon.com/KAMRUI-AK1...0CKWTPX4T/.
