Can anyone confirm if local airlines in the US would allow this bag on board? This seems to be slightly larger than what is allowed. Any input is helpful, thanks!

I believe this bag is the same one I have and it was marketed as 20" when it was sold at Target. Consumer Reports had this bag as their top hardside carry-on recommendation until recently - it is #2 now. Brand is "made by design" I like the bag and it is well worth $30.

…offers fine overall performance and basic features at a competitive price, making it among the best-value bags in our tests. It sailed through our impact tests, including assaults from a heavy, pointed hammer. It earns respectable scores in all our other evaluations, though some testers found its top handle too tight to grasp well. This spinner is expandable, and its handle telescopes to three heights. Beyond that, it's rather bare-bones: It has just one inside pocket and no lock, compartment divider, or USB port. The warranty is a relatively short one year. The manufacturer's listed dimensions of 21.75x14.25x9 inches—with telescopic handle stowed—are in line with the typical carry-on dimension requirements of U.S. domestic airlines.

Thanks op . If this the same bag from target I love it . I used it over 10 times on long hauls and short ones over the last 3 years . I believe I got the bag during a a slick deal too when it was price mistake . The bag is still going strong . Bought the Grey one now . Awesome deal

It is very risky to take as carryon luggage. It's 1" over the specified limit. It is not worth the trouble since you wouldn't know until you board the plane.
