If you're not careful with this thing, you can gouge the grooves and slip and leave a heavy scratch on the face of the irons. IMO this doesn't have a big enough effect on irons. Keep a wet towel for during the round cleaning. Post round if they're heavily dirty, drop them in a warm soapy bucket of water and use a plastic golf brush to clean the heads. Dry them off. I've had the same irons for 10yrs and have no issues keeping them clean.
When I saw an abstract product with a weird company name....I knew it was a staff post before even clicking on it...sure enough!

Some reviews show the product's metal is soft and doesn't "sharpen" the club
lf someone is new to goIf, the Iast thing they shouId be focusing on is cIean grooves or other compIicated variabIes ha. They shouId concentrate on finding their baIIs.

Looks like a pocket screwdriver that somebody decided to rename.

Just one less variable to worry about. If everything else is the same, the ball will come off the same. Spin, launch etc.

Dirt & grass will gunk up inside the grooves. By cleaning the grooves, it'll help the striking the ball

I use it to sharpen worn out grooves on older wedges/irons . Spin goes back up to stock again. Unless you're playing competitively in a sanctioned league that adheres to USGA rules, etc. you'll get a lot of value out of something like this.
