Yumm.. chocolate that has been sitting in a warehouse so long that they had to clearance it.

Truth be said, please don't buy this thinking you are eating good chocolate. High quality chocolate doesn't have emulsifiers, cocoa butters, or similar. I always thought I hated dark chocolate until I had a proper dark chocolate bar. It was life changing.

For those complaining about sugar content, you need a higher cacao percentage then. Most of the rest of the total is sugar. I got these or maybe 72 percent from costco when their sell by date was coming up. Good for eating and also used for cookies.

Surprisingly enough I found some at WalMart under their label that was imported from Switzerland far better than Aldi.

Cocoa butter is more important for milk chocolate used for baking and making drinks like mochas. For dark chocolate, there is usually a lower amount of cocoa butter.

The bars I've seen at Aldi's are all alkalized which defeats the benefits of dark chocolate.

It's almost always in darker chocolates in significant amounts. More than the sugar in the very dark chocolates. It's part of a cocoa nib.

Good deal. I personally prefer 85-90% Lindt so I'll wait for another promotion. But for people who prefer less bitter chocolate this is amazing deal. Amazon price is $40.44. A little cheaper with subscribe & save. Hope expiration date is reasonable.
