Query to "gamers" that will get performance out of this monitor:
With things like steam etc. it just seems like there's wicked performance overhead and there's no native games that are truly pushing hardware limits themselves, because of the "drag" of all of the connected apps etc.
What key part am I missing here? I *lived* gaming in the Id Software days, where the new engines forced the hardware upgrades (NVidia's gemination and initial growth with thanks to people like Carmack)
Or did I lose everyone? I do that . . .
