I'm retiring from metro deals after purchasing 5 iPhone 12s. Paying for the 3 I'm keeping by selling 2 of my $45 metro iPhone 11s ($230 & $250) from last year's deal, and 2 of the iPhone 12s ($320, and one left to sell)

I wanted 10, but only was able to order 4 tablets total, gifted one, and now I have bathroom tablets and a car tablet.

I use the iPhones as cordless phones on wireless chargers around the house. After selling the iPhones, I end up being a few hundred dollars up and got to move my cordless phone setup from iPhone 11s => 12s (OLED and 5G and magsafe are nice bonuses), and 3 tablets.

My two accounts are now suspended due to non payment.

RIP great metro deals, I think this Flex thing is the end of an era.

Also whoever came up with the idea of buying bunches and doing a trade-in to BestBuy is a genius. I feel Metro fatigue, and they simply don't seem to want to sell me more tablets besides.

At this conversion rate, I think you're not that far from purchasing an entire BB location for $30,000 in tablets lol

You can actually activate as soon as the tablet ships. No need to wait the extra days to receive.
Yes, but you need to have the phone in hand to order the first tablet.

Yes I have multiple Gmail accounts but it asks for my phone number to send code and when I enter it doesn't allow until I delete my google voice number and even after that it only allows me to choose between 2 numbers I have used previously

Ended up with 10 tablets and traded for 10 $110 bestbuy gift cards purchased unlocked S24 Ultra $1100 currently total cost $200
Not bad but you can also sell the tablets on ebay or fbook for about the same price or more and use that cash anywhere, not just BB.

Or wait for Spectrum trade in promotions again and these would be worth far more.

Do we need to do anything before selling these tablets on marketplace? The tablets are already activated without even opening. Haven't opened box. If I sell it in box to someone and they open it and turn it on, it should work just fine for them as wifi tablet right?

no you'll need to include the Metro SIM card and they need to pop it in on first boot to get past the activation screen. Then they are free to use as wifi tablets. Otherwise, they'll need to do the workaround in the wiki to get past the activation screen if they don't insert the SIM.

One possible reason: the port in of the main phone line's number actually failed and lost. So your whole account will be lost/terminated if there is no main phone line number.
Yes, but why was the number failed and lost? Call/text was working perfectly until a few days ago...

farkkk they got me. Ordered two already and today was ordering third one and I thought let me just try and use the cc I used to order first tablet. Nope asked to contact customer service so went ahead and generated a virtual credit card following all other steps as well including changing address and everything but no it won't allow me now to order tablet without contacting customer service.
I guess I am blacklisted now 😔

On call with cc. She is increasing plan from 30 to 35 and she said after that she can for sure order tablet

Edit: She increased it from 30 to 35 my mobile plan but she ordered the third tablet 😅. Anyone having issues with placing order can try calling customer care. Took about 20 mins

Hi, does anyone know how to set up this tablet without inserting a SIM card for the first time? From the Wiki it said to push the volume down for a second to trigger the message "NoSimLock is unlocked" to appear to bypass the SIM card requirement. I did this but it didn't work. I heard that you have to tap some place...

I was about to ask this question. Also what's the advantage of bypassing vs just inserting the sim and activating it and then just factory resetting? Which one is better?

If you insert the SIM, it will "brand" the tablet with a Metro splash screen as well as install a bunch of unwanted crapps. You can get rid of the crapware with a factory reset, but not the splash screen.

The original instructions for bypassing the SIM requirement was to hold the tablet in landscape mode, then tap the four corners in sequence of upper left, upper right, lower right, lower left. Repeat. Repeat again. (Twelve taps total.) Then press the volume down button for a moment till the message appears.

Someone later remarked the taps were unnecessary and only the volume down button press was needed. I tried that on two tablets and it worked for both.
