If you compare the specs between the S6 and S9 FE then you will be happy with your S6. The key difference is the Super AMOLED in S6 vs TFT LCD display in S9 FE. Also, Qualcomm in S6 vs Exonys in the S9 FE. So the S9 FE is pretty much a downgrade but the downside is no more software/security updates for the S6.

I was able to replicate the deal but ran into some quirks. If I used my corp discount, I could no longer trade in a S6 Lite, only up to the S5, so it was more expensive. Also, by default, it adds in the book cover keyboard at 50% but when I went to checkout, it was out of stock and wouldn't let me place the order. But for a non-corp discount, no keyboard buy, I was able to buy the S9 FE for $99 after trade-in.

$134 for this s6 lite on ebay looks pretty good. Low-ish risk since it's a bigger seller and "ebay refurbished". https://www.ebay.com/itm/134350348960

Anyone seeing anything better?

Just bought the $99 + $25 tax s9 FE (mine still worked for trade-in, desktop Chrome but I had clicked on the Samsung site around 11 am Eastern time, so maybe had some cookies in there that let me get the deal).

The tax on it is interesting. My state charges the tax based on pre-trade-in value. I tried a different state's zipcode and the tax was based on post-trade-in value. It was a difference of $40 vs $3.

I got post trade in tax, but it was estimated at less than state tax, not including city oddly.

I got mine, had a 2020 S6 lite that I paid 180 for back 3 years ago thanks to slickdeals, now upgrading it and getting more than I paid for it in credit.

I mainly upgraded for the increased Ram and longer support time, as mine being older it was getting close to ending.

I've had the S7 FE for 1.5 yrs that I'm trading in for the FE+, works great for my purpose of occasionally watching videos and browsing while I travel. Large screen, long battery life, perhaps you're expecting more from a tablet than it can offer?
