Pretty good when you need them. Unfortunately, I have not found them as useful as I imagined, I think the main disadvantage is that the 90 degree grip is powerful but space limiting. However, if you can grip something with them, they will stay well. There are straight pliers that will do a better job most of the time, but with less pinching power. The pair compliments itself well, the sizes do make sense.
