FWIW, this is the cheaper non-Fuel version which probably translates to a bit less torque/power, but it'll still get work done (it's still brushless, too).

I've never actually done one of these before, but would this be a hackable item?

Very good deal. However, these brushless grinders need the 6Ah battery. The 5Ah are noticeablely weaker.

Fair price for what it is, but what it is, is NOT a "grinder".... this tool is total weak sauce even with a HO battery. Hog into stuff like you normally do with a GRINDER and it will shut off. You need one of the Fuel grinders if you need to do significant material removal. That said, this one works great with flap wheels, cutoff wheels, etc. Just want people to have realistic expectations for this tool - I have three Fuel grinders to compare to so please don't take this with a grain of salt.

No this one comes with the battery starter kit in the box with the tool. It is not a combo deal where you buy the tool and get the battery free.

I have both this version and the Fuel version. This is the light duty version. While it is quite handy to have a cordless grinder, which this definitely is despite what a previous post says, it is better with a flap wheel or other less demanding task than hard grinding. I haven't made it stop while grinding, but the battery doesn't last very long.

I'd pass on this and get the Fuel version, even if it is more $. It's worth it, at least for my use case.

Can someone recommend a good set of wheels for this or the fuel version? Even a decent assorted pack of available?
