Chrono Cross is an RPG that transcends time and space, unfolding across two interlinked parallel worlds. With over 40 party members to meet, people and dimensions will intertwine in this epic drama about the planet itself.
Better battle system than Chrono Trigger and the opening theme might be the best in video game history really. The Radical Dreamers part isn't really interesting to me but on Switch the game plays great.
I haven't played the PC port so I can't speak to any issues, but the game itself is a pretty good JRPG, not as good as Chrono Trigger but definitely worth a play-through.

I loved loved loved this game. Only real RPG that gotten me to play all the way to finish. The storytelling, cast, art was something else. I played Final Fantasy 7 because of this and loved it too. I did not beat FF7 though.
I always heard good things about this game so I bought it many months ago. But, I really did not like it. Very weird battle system and feels very dated. Regret buying it

I strongly disagree. I really didn't like the battle system and found Chrono Trigger to be WAY better of a game, granted I only could stomach playing for 4ish hours of Chrono Cross
Fair enough, and I would say the opposite that CT's battle system is dated/boring/shallow. I love the risk/reward mechanics in Chrono Cross of stronger attacks having lower percentages of hitting. CT has other things going for it that are better but not the battle system and I don't see how you could say otherwise with the formulaic approach that hardly differs much from early Final Fantasy games.

Yeah Wild Arms had a solid theme too, CC is just so musical and you can hear so many different instruments throughout that song.

Wild Arms 1 still rotate that into my ringtone. All time favorite opening theme!
It was painfully playable...
