Price needs to be lower. It was just $200 at Costco and Apple refurbished (which is good as new) is $250.

If you're in the Apple ecosystem, I'd buy two Sonos one sl refurbs for less than this and set them up as a stereo pair for a more rich sound experience. Or just set them up in different rooms without them being a stereo pair and still come out ahead

These are, strangely, not as good as the OG HomePods. They have less internal speakers, a weaker WiFi chip, and are about the same price around the same time of their lifespan. (Bought mine at Target for $200)

Other than having matter capabilities, the newer one has a removable cable. I wish they just stuck with the older one, personally.

Not much. Thankfully I dont need/use HomePods for music/media listening and they just serve as Siri mics and Thread routers in my house for home automation stuff. For that, they are awesome. But yet, the HomePod Mini does that for a lot less in price and size. Personally I think the HomePod Mini should be $50, but yea, this is Apple we're talkin about here!
