Most Important Specs:
  1. 1.8G Quad Core, 256MB Flash, 1GB RAM
  2. Total of 12 streams: 4x4 / 8x8 (2.4GHz/5GHz)
  3. Link aggregation for NAS
  4. Super fast 2.5Gbps port for NAS or Movie Server or Internet WAN

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...53NWQ&th=1

But most important, it's ASUS, LMAO. It's the LV-Hermes of routers. Out of all the routers I have tried, this is the best so far. A lot faster than the RT-AXE7800, probably due to more mature firmware.

I've tried 6e and 7. Without direct line of sight, speeds drop significantly for me. Went back to wifi 6

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

For all of you noobs, wanting to know how to test routers. You'll need to use 3 tools:
  1. flent - to test real response under load, latency
  2. iperf3 - to test bandwidth and jitter/lost packets
  3. ping - to test latency and standard deviation from such latency

Don't just go buy a router, then go home and plug it in and run some dumb speedtest.net tests. That's not how you test routers.

Works fine for me. I opened it in incognito and also another web browser, not logged into Amazon.

Eh? 6e and 7 is backwards compatible with 6. It's not like 6e gets rid of 5ghz.

Yeah but it kept trying to connect to 6e and I would walk out of sight and it would try to keep connection but low quality. I would rather have slightly slower speed but consistent connectivity.

Huh. It should switch over to the 5 or even down to 2ghz SSID.

But I personally don't use the same SSID for all 3 bands so I can have more control.

not really very practical for home use

unless you want to use it for wireless backhaul mesh system

otherwise it is a winner on paper specs
