This link is taking me to an error page in Costco, can I search by product details or is there an updated link? Can I get this free refrigerator or additional discount with a family hub refrigerator?
Some people are just really terrible at maintaining their things.... Fridges need to be cleaned regularly, the coils need to be cleaned, the air filters replaced, many problems are user error
You can replace the parts of an ice maker yourself....
I 'm behind on fridge since my almost 17 years old Samsung is about to die soon (it cost me $3.5K. It was the first Samsung that built in screen, Memory Cards, YouTube, etc. Lol. Never again for these fancy but not reliable feature. Need a simple one without those features that don't even need or use). We have to take out the large iceberg condense in the bottom of the fridge every few weeks (otherwise can't open the bottom freezer doors or water is melting from those large piece of ice (probably need to empty the fridge and let the ice thaw for couple days and clean the section where the water get in/out). The ice maker died years ago.
So what is every one top 3 brands (and model/style) are most reliable nowadays?
Samsung and LG appliances look cool and fancy nowadays but also not RELIABLE (My Samsung washer died after just 2 years. While my LG washer (older models that last about 13-15 years).
Saw some comments mentioned that newer models of GE (Haier ?) are also bad?
So who else make reliable and durable fridge that can last 10 years or longer ?
Any made in USA (I bet not and mostly made in China nowadays!)? Lol.
I need a new reliable fridge as soon as possible. Can hang on and hold on to couple more weeks/months if there are good deals for coming Memorial Day or 4 of July Day sale.
However the Samsung Bespoke model has a redesign with it in the freezer where it should be. Far less issues.
Yeah, I'm gonna call bullshit in this too. My Samsung has 2 ice makers, one in the fridge, one in the freezer, both have had significant issues.

We have never bought a "fancy" fridge before and got this one for all the ice makers!
According to deal notes:
About this deal:
Offer valid through 5/1/24, while supplies last.

I see it in stock but when I add both of the refrigerator it comes out to be 2139
Edit: did not see the end date was 5/1
Can confirm this is an issue, just disconnect, don't use it and make your own ice cubes in the freezer. Much less of a headache. At least the actual fridge and freezer has been fine with my samsung

I have a ~ 14 year old Samsung that had the same issue you describe - water accumulating in the bottom of the fridge compartment that would basically freeze the bottom drawer shut. We moved a few years ago and brought the fridge and the issue stopped. I am thinking it could have been related to cleaning or general airflow in the "enclosure" the fridge was in in both houses.
Other than that no issues with the fridge. Ice/water still works. We never used the bottom ice maker, and over the years of people putting stuff in there and forcing it shut basically sheared off the light and the ice maker body. Literally sheared off. Unit still works find though.
