Bambino plus has a back off value for steam pressure release -- this QOL feature
And the porta filter is much better quality compared to regular Bambino.,-- this definitely makes difference in shot that's being pulled

$289 + tax at target if you have both registry coupons (they stack) and a redcard or whatever they call it now

Attachment 15384180

edit: oops, that's actually the price with just the registry coupons and no redcard. it's $274.54 + tax with the 5% redcard discount
how/where do you get the "registry" coupons?

Running bambino plus with bottomless portafilter, highly recommend pairing with Baratza ESP grinder. Great starter setup for those new to espresso.
what bottomless portafilter would you (or anyone) recommend? for a beginner.
thank you.

Owned this for 2 years now. I'm more of a v60 pourover guy but I like a creamy cappuccino every now and then and don't want to drive somewhere to get it. This machine does the job. I paired it with a Baratza Sette and I can make a latte or cappuccino that rivals most coffee shops. Descale with vinegar every 9 months or so and it works like a champ.

I just grabbed one off of amazon, with a wood handle. It really does not matter too much, just don't think you have to overspend and get the normcore version of everything. I would only recommend the normcore tamper as it is built well and also has self-leveling.

Also got the IMS basket for 54mm which breville is, I hated the stock basket as it did not help me dial my shots in very well.

Love my Bambino Plus. No waiting for it to heat up. Auto milk steamer works well. I achieved better results by re-programming the double shot timer along with only putting in 16.5g in the stock basket.

I've had it for 4+ years, use it everyday day. Broke down 3 years later (inner piping started leaking, which apparently is a common issue with this). Sent back to the company for a replacement covered by my credit card warranty. It looks nice but disappointed by its durability. I'd buy something else if my replacement fails.

Your math is still wrong; your screenshot is hiding a phantom discount.

nope, here are the discounts:

Attachment 15384909

$399.99 sale price - $125.45 in discounts = $274.54 + tax

Love the look of breville machines and appliances, but they aren't very well made and have shit customer service imo.
Can't speak for anyone else's experience, but I disagree about their customer service. We have an Oracle that started to leak years after the warranty expired. Breville replaced it with a brand new unit for $375, no questions (they would normally give refurbished, which would also be fine, but they were out of stock).

Hands down, this is the best intro level machine out there. I loved it for the years I had it.
