Custom built, may be amazing I agree. I have zero experience with custom build and wouldn't even know where to start honestly. I do ask how much do you think a Custom Built keyboard would run you?

I see them like computers with Custom built water cooling (Not AIO's), they are great looking and are probably amazing to use and own but they are way outside of my ability to build one or maintain it. I looked up my receipt for my K100 and I paid $150 + tax, which is still bad but livable.
This one in the deal is the same type you'd usually build custom, they sell the GMMK 2 frame by itself. You could buy this one and slowly upgrade it over time, swapping out the switches, keycaps etc.
IDK why everyone in this thread was crapping on a keyboard you bought 2 years ago, you obviously meant that moving to mechanical from rubber dome was a big upgrade. People giving reddit a run for its money.

No, I didn't. I suggested another option that is a great keyboard, in my opinion. The K100 RGB optical is a $250 keyboard msrp. This is a $120 keyboard msrp. Cheap is a matter of opinion.

I tried the K100 with the full intention of returning as I said because to me it's expensive. I kept it because it is amazing, and I love it. As I said, if you can afford it, give it a try. If you can't, then don't. Stop trying to make it seem like I was insulting people, I'm just providing another option based on my personal experience.

Easy tiger, just trying to understand where you were coming from.

Not a bad price here if you like the features. I have like six keyboards that range from $60-$300 and the only thing I'd really ding this board for is the fact that it's wired. Growing up in the era of Sega/PS1 controllers I just don't understand why we're still making tech without removable cables, but that aside getting a full sized hot swappable keyboard at this price ain't bad

edit: cable is detachable, nevermind

Interesting, thanks, Tarkov. From the perspective you provided, I'm going to pick one of these up to at least get a feel for it. It is very much appreciated.

Would not recommend any product from Glorious besides their switches. They seem to be using low quality builds. I had multiple v1 of their Glorious full size. Multiple have had problems randomly disconnecting from the computer. I bought a Redragon to replace and they seem to be manufactured nearly exactly the same. Started having problems with Redragon, too. Glorious was of little help when I reached out to them. All they want is a for you to buy more stuff. They have no path for repairs of problem boards.

I've gone to buying higher quality keyboards now and would recommend spending a little more to get more reliable, repairable and customizable options. Keychron is good at their price for the aluminum Q series. The cheaper boards like this brand seem to be prone to problems and the company abandoning you.

Read through the comments, still no one really able to answer what kind of switches these are, or most comparable to.

Seems to be closest to reds, 45g actuation force, 3.9mm (these) vs 4mm travel distance for reds.

I've built a bunch of Glorious keyboards from scratch and they're all been great. The only negatives I've experienced is with the GMMM Pro prebuilt (overlubed and poor stabilizers) but the GMMK2 (this one) is a great, solid keyboard and at this price, was a steal.

Quote from HardKOR :
For all the people who down voted this comment. Please look at the current keyboard market and see how outdated & overpriced the Corsair K100 is for it's price point. For the same price of that K100 you can get a keyboard that uses the new magnetic hall effect switches:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glQNEbh79xg

There are many companies that uses these magnetic switches (Wooting, Steelseries, AKKO, etc). I still use my Corsair K90 keyboard w/18 macro keys from 2012, but the current prices Corsair charges for their keyboards are a insanely bad value compared to the competition.

People downvote for tone as much as they downvote for content. Sometimes more so. I agree with the conclusion, but it probably would go over better without laughing at someone else's opinion

Why not buy a Keychron, Epomaker or Akko keyboard for this price?
