What's the best way to get Ultimate 12 month now that Gold is gone away? I used to get 12 month gold and convert it, it was very cheap to do through cdkeys but now with these different live tiers I'm confused

Core = Gold. Can still do conversion. Rate depends on if your Ultimate is active or if you've let it lapse.

I can't find any decent deals on 12 month pass. The best deal, I think, for now is to buy non stackable 1 month pass on CDkeys or eneba that you can find anywhere between $6-$9. Even if you buy monthly pass at this price, it is cheaper than the 12 month pass.

You can try using a virtual card with something like privacy.com.

100% accurate I got 3 months for 30 recently and I thought that was a shit deal

It seems the 3 month Xbox GamePass Core codes now only redeem for 1 month of GamePass Ultimate if you have an active Ultimate subscription (Used to be 3 months = 50 days). So the current rates for the 3 month Core passes make it not as good of a deal if you currently have GamePass Ultimate.

If you DON'T have GamePass Ultimate, it seems it would cheaper to go the route of redeeming 3 years worth of GamePass Core codes, then pay for one month of GamePass Ultimate, and the 3 years of Core will convert to 2 years of Ultimate.

This seems to be the current rates based off more recent posts on the subject around the web. I have not tested it myself, so info could be wrong. When CDKeys, Eneba, etc offer discounts on the codes, then it might be cheaper to convert the 3 months of Core into 1 month of GamePass Ultimate.
