Keep in mind that the Stinson 6 was released in August 2020. Version 7 was released in May 2023. With that in mind this shoe should be marked down even more.

I completely disagree. I've had reconstructive surgery on both feet, and hokas are the only shoe I've found that helps my walk and makes it possible to go long distances pain-free. They might not be everyone's cup of tea, but they definitely changed my life.

Keep in mind that the Stinson 6 was released in August 2020. Version 7 was released in May 2023. With that in mind this shoe should be marked down even more.

Yes, generally backpackers that use them have base weights under 20lbs (w/o consumables - food, water, fuel) and total weight under 30lbs. They're not for everyone but they work better for me with their standard insole than other shoes or boots with my custom orthotics. You can buy them from REI and wear them for a month and return them if they don't work for you.

These have been on sale for months. I got a pair and the toe box is tighter than the previous version. Now I'm stuck with these ugly colored shoes and can't find shipping cheaper than $25 bucks to send back to hoka.

Same, except toe fusion and total knee replacement (and issues with the other knee and both ankles). Doctor recommends these as they are supportive and orthopedic. Also have a relatively stiff forefoot area which is good for many with foot issues.

I don't care if they are trendy, if they are good for my feet. Wish I had known about wearing supportive, orthopedic shoes 30-40 years ago.
