You might've been able to cancel the return and order another one online at $89. Return it with the receipt for $89 saying that it was broken.

The light can also be removed from the tripod and work as a standalone floor light. The tripod also extends to 75" (6'3") as opposed to 5 feet for the hart.

Lumen calculations on lights seem to be pretty wild, often too high. Not saying this or that are off—but I have noticed amazon being more of a wild west.
