FYI: budget has better discounts if you log in. I'm not sure how I got whatever status I got form them (probably one of my many credit cards) but they're soooo much cheaper than what you see on kayak.
FYI:
Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 7/24/2024, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.
Also after logging in i was offered an amazon gift card as well for my car so I'm getting $68+ back.
Personally have not used any kind of insurance they offered. Per amex card holder includes the car rental protection if you decline every insurance they offer at time of taking car from lot. To note we rented a minivan in florida and paid all tolls we encountered (quite a lot) and the reciept we recieved from budget stated we did not have to pay tolls. Something to that affect and we didn't pay for sun pass or any extra up charge at all.
i did use that new premium program cuz its cheap. but looks like they dont really cover hit and run or cheap low at fault drivers. unlike enterprise they would cover everything. without any claim application.
the free amex default ins (or any free credit card ins in the usa) is always "secondary" which means they will use your car ins first. then fill in the leftover.

Also, I wanna know when you rent these vehicles, do they give you insurance proof/card with your name ND dates on it (declaration page with your name) or they give you a generic ins proof to keep it in car in case of pull over? Thanks for any feedback

then I believe most CC picks up the tab if you had charged the rental/lease to that CC. Read my comment again
