We need to quit empowering Apple to keep taking advantage of us. This should be at least 32" for this price. Apple just has zero shame on ripping off its users.

Thanks! Missed the last time this was on sale. Was able to price match at Best Buy.

Yes, it's a rip off.

That said, I bought a VESA one the last time it was on sale at this price at Best Buy.

And I'm this >< close to pulling a trigger on another one Smilie

Why do you think it's a ripoff? I have a 24 inch Thunderbolt Display that still works as good as the day I bought it. I hope to get this many years out of my studio display.
I have a Samsung TOC display thats been working just as good as the day I bought it over 10 years ago, whats your point?

Just cause some of us get lucky does not mean we should pay to be taken advantage of.... Also agree rip off.

That being said Samsung and Dell are doing the same thing, I guess since most of these are bought by businesses they are over inflating the price knowing that the businesses will just pay it.

Dell for the most part has been the least price gouging out of the mix, but still not good. Their 40" 5K 300 nits display can be had for under $1500 which is still ridiculous in my opinion, but to each their own.

The resolution is high, but limited to 60Hz and no HDR or local dimming is a big fat NO for me.

Like saying my 36" Sony Trinitron from 1999 is working as good as the same day that I bought it

Re-releasing a monitor using imac panel from 10 years ago isn't innovating, 27' is relatively small without miniLED or 120hz for over $1500 msrp just an insult for people actually push panel technology forward.

300 nits? I would like to be able to see the screen with a window in the room.

Please list the appropriate PPI alternative monitors. I'll wait.

Honestly, the high DPI is the one good thing about this, it's not like you're using it as a TV. As others have said, the features are not up to par especially for the price.

Hopefully next year the affordable 27" 4K OLEDs will be available and with DisplayPort 2.1. And by then, they should iron out all of the firmware issues that are plaguing the current 32" 4K OLEDs. Right now, 27" 4K OLED are $2000+ and 60Hz.

This tbh. It was really cool when it came out, though. It's wild how glacially slow display tech has been moving. I thought there would be more MiniLED displays by now, too.

Decent deal, especially if you need color correction. I snagged the height-adjustable model with tilt for about $1750 from Amazon Warehouse last month. While you could opt for a cheaper monitor for content creation, this one has perfect colors right out of the box, saving you from having to purchase that $150 Spyder color calibration gadget and fiddle with the settings.
