This is the perfect size for car camping. The 22 inch is just slightly too big and annoying to make the extra space worth it. We have both, but just take the 17 inch now.
Jesus christ bro not all of us are trying to do survival camping. It's not glamping just cause you want to use a propane griddle.

As for how it is for camping. I personally love cooking breakfast for the camp on this thing. I wish the flame pattern provided more edge to edge coverage but this is probably as big as you can go for a single burner.

It says the tabletop is made of stainless steel. 😎 glad to see that instead of teflon

For glamping?

Probably way to heavy for camping

Cook almost all our meals on it while camping. Does great for 2-3 people. More than that you'll want the 22"

I have an older version of this and the top is in really bad shape. Old rust and grime. Any recommendations on cleaning or even a reasonable replacement top?

I bought my top off Amazon. Hinges screw into the existing screws on the back. Works great and not too expensive

Isn't this technically a griddle?

I like my Weber Q more, but I use this occasionally. not the same, but when I am going to be mobile... the Q wins more. I know I got this for like 40 bucks or so, but not a bad deal for 80bif you want it. my is not even and I have to tilt it to drain the oil.

I last used it to cook at work for fresh sliders at the office for my team... the Q is just easier to travel with. waaaay less mess.

Get a cover and carry bag. Also get a silicone mat. Before all of that, season it really good. I used the oven to save time. Mine had not rusted out or anything after years.
