$95 normal price on Amazon. It also went down to $89 not long ago.

Are they just the catchy name or are they only for Pro Overclockers?

I'd rather save up for 48gb ram sticks than 16gb. Plus overclocked ddr5 has a low success rate.

It's still half the price of what crucial ballistix ddr4 3200 costed in the summer of 2021. So I'm looking at this like what a great deal lol

You want hynix modules for ddr5 ram. Teamgrp has one that easily clocks to 6000mhz cl30 if you are willing to manually tune. Paid $75 half a year ago for 32GB, not sure how much it is now.

Contrary to the name, these don't overclock past 6200 without some extensive manual tuning. If you are an XMP etc bios timing kind of person these work fine.

I just got a new (refurbished) desktop with with 2x8 GB Ram modules. There are 2 open slots, and my MB specs are ddr5 4800 up to 128 gb max. Any recommendations on adding more? Was thinking something like this would be plenty for me. I don't play pc games, just mainly internet and office work. But I hate having those 2 open slots.

I'd be very surprised if you're locked to stock jdec. Get some cl30 6000 as others mentioned BUT I'd only use 2 slots and toss or sell the 2x8. Otherwise, I'd just pair with similar cheap ram if you're set on 4 sticks. Most ddr5 boards imo, the 4 slots shouldn't be there. it's much less of a pain running 2 sticks if you want to set it to set xmp or expo

Unfortunately looks like they've gone up in price. The 6000mhz cl30 one is binned and has expo timings for those that don't want to manually tune. This 5600 cl48 one is the same hynix modules, just not binned and no fast expo. Check buildzoid or something videos on manually tuning this ram.

From what I've read, the only thing "pro" about crucial pro memory is the name.
