You probably already know if you're here but this game is really fun, especially with friends. It's also cross platform between PlayStation and PC.
game is a blast and as challenging and easy as you want it to be depending on difficulty you pick
Hell dive for DEMOCRACY!!!!

It's a great game, even better with a solid group. Probably one of the best releases of the year.

Surprisingly yes, most of the time. Much better than other communities I've played in (CoD, especially). There's the occasional griefer, but it's rare. Great game!

So good. Some toxic players but I've had so much fun with randoms AND other times with my son. Hoping to bring my weekly gaming group to this once we've cleared our current title.

And the Senator got a speed loader today! My big iron is going to be spreading so much democracy now, this has me way more excited about a patch note than it should. (It's a six shooter secondary weapon. Like the magnum from Half Life for you older gamers out there. Hits hard, and when you partial reload you don't drop half a clip of ammo, either.)

I would say not really, unless you happen to find some randoms that are good and use mics. Otherwise the game feels overwhelming and chaos.
There is no story. There are only so many different missions which you basically keep doing to unlock gear, etc.. You can't play the game only on lower levels in order to unlock everything, there is stuff locked behind some stuff that can only be obtained in lvl 7+ difficulty.
Is there any way to make sure you get matched with people with mics? I ran into this with COD...at least you could select teams that had mics.

I have not a found a way to do that. I guess technically, if you play on PS5 for example, and you turn off crossplay, you are guaranteed to play with PS5 players only. They will all have a mic that is built into the controller.

Yes it is. I'm level 27 and I've yet to come across a griefer. There are also different levels of audio/speech you can choose. You don't have to talk to other players. Four players per mission. There's not a need to talk to your mission mates, because you all know the mission. It's super fun.

How much would a basic PC cost that could run this?

I'll say this, there's a noticeable gap between players that play difficulty 7+ and those that play below that. They're much more organized, communicate/ping well, and just have a better grasp of what to do and not to do; i.e. not shooting at every single enemy patrol.

Sounds counterintuitive, but I find difficulty 7 easier and much more enjoyable than 6. 8 and 9 are just chaos and there's no avoiding it.

This game reminds me of couch co-op games. It's so much fun, even with random players. I'm close to 40 and try to play 30 minutes to an hour each day. It's such an easy game to pick up and play a round or 2.
