I give up on my A1. It keep getting layer shift 1 out of 15 prints or so. While my prusa Mk3s farm is running flawlessly, layer shift like 1 out of 80-90 prints

this bed slinger or the sv08 corexy?
This will give you multi color and a closed source eco system.
The svo8 is open source with a much bigger build area and a stationary build plate. Mmu in the works. Bambu makes nice stuff, I just can't do it.
If they were open source I would be all over it. I'm just going to get the svo8 enclose it, and build an enraged rabbit for it

The SV08 is the better printer with a much better and cheaper upgrade path

If by better you are talking about reliably cranking out prints with almost never failing, then Bambu Lab will trounce Sovol. I speak from experience because I have both an X1C and a Sovol SV06 and I can count the Bambu Lap printer failures on one hand. Sovol on the other hand constantly fails and requires constant tweaking to dial in. Bambu Lab printers just work.

The sovol 6 isn't the sovol 8 hope this helps

This seems like a great price and A1 has a few features that put it above the P series especially for new user who will mainly print PLA/PETG/TPU. It checks all the boxes for me except for the amount of space it needs in front and behind the machine. Wont fit where I want it to go.

Skip bed slingers and buy a corexy, as corexy are faster and more durable. Making a bedslinger faster causes more issues.

A1 Series: Bed Slinger
P1 Series: Core XY

3D printer is starting to become password managers. Every time a deal on a brand is posted, a of bunch people will then post other brands and claim theirs is superior. Bizarre and kind of like a circle jerk.

I'm waiting for the times when 10 different brands show up in a thread all claiming to be the best.

The full size A1 was the one that had a recall (which has been completed and returned to market).

Additionally, there was never a case of a unit catching fire, they identified a risk that could lead to a short/fire and took preventative measures to avoid it. All 3D printers are a fire risk (much like any electronic device), it was good to see a company do something about it where they could.

A1, p1s, or x1c. Which one to get?
I got in on the Black Friday X1C sale. To my knowledge, this was the only time it has gone on sale. No question it was an expensive purchase, but FWIW it is user friendly an good print quality. The AMS is pretty awesome too. I would purchase it again, but the cost is certainly preclusive. If you want to print something like ABS, you'll need an enclosure, so either X1C or P1S.

I took a gamble with the sv08 early bird special for $450.
I would cancel. SV07 last firmware update was October. Sovol klipperscreen breaks if you update klipper/moonraker. No updates/fixes up to date and now releasing another half finished printer? Okay...

Ahaha, hobbies are always kind of circle jerks if you think about it.
