Good price but just a heads up that lexol isn't what it used to be. They changed the formula and/or quality and now has a bad smell that doesn't go away. I cleaned an old jacket recently and at first was impressed but after a couple days the smell just got worse. Spent another month or so trying to get the smell out then finally used duragloss 221 which worked awesome and smells like natural leather too.

I've had great results with a product called leather CPR. Price has shot up, used to get it at Bed Bath and Beyond, they stopped carrying it. Used it on a Bassett leather chair from a thrift store. I seriously thought it was a distressed leather chair, used the leather CPR and lots of elbow grease and it now looks like a brand new (non-distressed) leather chair, incredible. Been using the CPR on jackets now too. No off smell either. I wonder how long lexol products stay good for, I have a couple bigger bottles of the cleaner and conditioner that are probably like 8 or so years old now, haven't used them since I discovered the leather CPR stuff.

Can you use this for perforated car seats?

I use bick4 and redwing mink oil in boots. Never tried lexol but heard good things about them

That's not a formula change, thats the product going bad. I've had that happen with other brands in the past. I'm assuming this is on-sale due to this issue. Some will get okay product some may get already spoiled. Just open and smell before you use.

Will this do anything for 'fake leather' (couches, desk chairs, etc..) to keep them from drying out and peeling/flaking?

I would have thought the same thing honestly until I saw some recent reviews over the past year or so. They were complaining about the quality going downhill too. Sad because lexol was known for being one of the best.

What's the verdict? Is what they're saying true?

The product picture, a review picture, and an item description stating a weight of 1.3 pounds makes me believe this is for (2) 8oz bottles. Only the title mentions 16.9. This looks like the correct set with (2) 16.9oz bottles.

Get the Sonax foaming leather cleaner and a leather brush. Worked fantastic on my Navigator seats. Also, conditioner for modern leather car seats is pointless.

This stuff isn't "mink oil" it smells & leaves a smell. It also leaves smudge oily texture behind. It might work for an older vehicle but if you have a newer car it will make it smell old.

No it definitely is. Bought this newer stuff last year and its a huge difference in the smell of the product. This past weekend I found a bottle of the old formula conditioner and it smells buttery good like the original. The new stuff smells terrible no wonder they are giving it away.
