The iPhone 11 is very old at this point, I wouldn't recommend anything older than the iPhone 12.

I had an iPhone 11 up until 2023 and the main issue was that the chip would get crazy hot. Battery was also affected by that
This is a 4G phone
I was using an iPhone 11 like 6 months ago and it was behaving totally fine. Disagree that it's not usable right now, and the battery life will be right up there with the 12 whose battery life was natively poor.

the beauty of using old yet new iphones and being 4-5 years behind the technology curve is that:

1. they work well
2. you get a fresh battery
3. your "insurance policy" is that they are cheap

thus if the phone breaks or gets lost you're out ~$100 so no huge biggy. in a year or two you simply upgrade to a model 1-2 years newer for the same price. in a few more years it will probably be the iphone 13s that start showing up around this price.

the $100 phone used for 2 years is $4/month. i combine that with prepaid service that is ~$15/month for a grand total of $19/month per line. Not much more than some people pay for their phone insurance alone.

I used a GV number and it went through OK.. I don't really have any plans to actually port it though.

This is exactly what I have been doing. Never buy the latest/greatest iPhone.
Always purchased 3-4 year "old yet new iPhone with fresh battery". It doesn't hurt as much when my kids lost or dropped the phones. I always replaced to 1-2 year newer iPhone after used 1-2 year when batteries were dropped below 85% or so. Then sell them on Craigslist not only to recoup some money, but sometimes even made a little profit. nod

plus a month service. so if you're just really frugal and don't care about features this phone is around $50 cheaper....plus 4 additional months before you can actually use it.
Ohhhhh yeah I didn't click on the thing, I thought the deal was $99 for the phone + $50 for service lmao.
Yeah this is pretty decent, my wife has an 11 we got her 2 Christmases ago for $100 on Straight Talk, $50 is a fair price.

This should be free with $50-$65 plan and if anything with plan no more than $80 max. This is the price for iPhone 12. Metro had them for $40/$65. The only caveat was six month waiting period, still worth it.

Additionally with Metro, buy a phone or free and add a plan ($40, 50, 65), then you can also add a tablet plan Samsung A9+ for $20, including additional line $30 per line and buy a phone for whatever price.

Got 2 of them last week. Ported Google voice. Pretty seamless transition, though it took a couple of days for the Port to go through. $110 after taxes, only 2 month wait to unlock, cashback on certain sites, definitely recommended..
How can I set up multiple google voice numbers? I have one and it's tied to my mint #.

when I was speaking about battery I meant how the constant heat makes the battery health go down, and perform worse

Thanks OP grabbed 2. If you order a second phone at the same time, the line cost for that one is only $30 on the $50 plan, so I got the 2 for $180 plus about $20 tax. Also used Chase offer and cashback.

On one of the lines, I was able to qualify a google voice line, but that number originated from a real mobile number - so maybe that makes a difference?

For those of you who already have a Total by Verizon account, did you use that? Or do you need a new Total account?
