Almost popped on this but know well enough to check composition.

It's a compost mix with grass seed. Yikes, why in the world would I pay for filler I can get for free?

These companies just keep trying to repackage 💩 and use clever titles to trick us. Even clever marketing. Never had a problem with free sources of compost or growing uncoated seed. Don't let them market you stuff you don't need.

May be a deal compared to the normal robbery price for this product. But there are far better solutions to grow grass for your $.

Time is also $. This product is convenient. U don't have to spend time get 5 separate things and mixing them up. U decided whats worth your time and $. But this product makes sense for a lot of people.

I bought the 3.5 lb containers for $6-$7 from Walmart. At that price it still felt like a rip off, as there's like 10% seed in the container.

So now I have to go buy more grass seed (I bought 3 of the 3.5 pound containers, used 2, the birds ate probably at least one containers worth).

I've found that it's not very effective if you're trying to do a large area. It's fine for spots but if you're doing anything bigger just get everything individually.

I was actually browsing this similar deal in the past. The cost of 10 lb scotts sun n shade mix was $26.99 as the Ace and on sale for $20 just about 4 years ago and the one at Lowes was $16 around the same time.

Man inflation is killing everything. This is not just 7% inflation as feds say. This is 40% inflation.

Don't understand this type of thing. So what type of grass is it? Centipede or something else? I have centipede and if the seed is of s different kind, will it take over my centipede lawn? Why don't i just buy centipede seeds?

It's a spot repair mix. Nobody should be using this for large areas or overseeing. Its primary use is for areas that require a binding agent that holds the seed in place and keeps it moist until germination - eg hills, swales or low spots that have a hard time germinating without the seed washing away.

Grass seed is so expensive since inflation. I bought a 25lb of BBU for $80 in 2021. Same bag is $129 now.

100% correct here.

Bought a large bag of this at msrp and was shocked what was inside - very little seed and tons of filler.

You mean all the idiots that handed out all that FREE Money in 2020 to people and businesses that did NOT need assistance...thus causing ridiculous spending sprees. Gotcha!
