These are the Govee.com coupons mentioned the most by Slickdeals users:

SPLASH-CAD 12% off (confirmed on various sensors, light strips, etc)
BOOM 10% off (confirmed on most products)
TAKE5 $5 off per unit (better than the welcome offer, confirmed on various products)

So we don't rehash lessons from previous Govee deal threads:

- Govee is a Chinese brand, but they tend to have exceptional quality, outstanding customer service/warranty, and many fans on SD, which is why they consistently hit the Front Page.
- Their Bluetooth only devices often pair with Govee WiFi hubs for their other products, allowing remote access to your devices out of the house and on the app. For example, their BT hygrometers connect to the v2 water sensor WiFi hub.
- There are no international transaction fees even though Chase says it's international.
- The warranty experience is much better when you buy direct, as opposed through Amazon. Your order is directly tied to the app, meaning you can initiate a recall of a defective unit with free shipping directly through the Govee app with one click; no phone calls or hassle.

Your comment cannot be blank.

Out of curiosity, what Govee products (model codes) have you owned that make you say this? The experience of most people here has been the opposite.
💯 agree. I have been super pleased with govee products, both indoor and out. My govee lynx dream outdoor lights have weathered the storm and then some. When I go to the app/use their products..they simply work, every time. And at the right price point..they can not be beat. Thanks for the post 👍
Correct me if I'm wrong but Govee has two different floor lamps. This one and the Lyra. It's my understanding that the Lyra is the recommended of the two … and to avoid this posted lamp.

Govee's marketing campaigns are pretty aggressive for their knockoff merchandise.

Their products are lackluster, but marketed as though they are extraordinary.

It is cheap junk used to map out your home via its intrusive app. Just say no.
I have several Govee lights throughout my home and they all work great. I also have several Phillips Hue light strips and bulbs, and they are better for sure, brighter, better colors, but they're 3-4 times the price, sometimes more. So, I'm more than happy with Govee for the price point.

I only use the app for initial setup, after that I control everything via voice assistant and automations. So the less than stellar app is a non-issue.

bought a refurb T2 last week, they had an option to add the lyra version for like $80 or $89. so i did. it was like $200 for both.

so far the lyra is nice. no issues. i mainly use it with the included remote, not the app (just easier for my use).

the T2 has been great. so far company seems quality. app is NOT half baked, has a lot of features. if i had a place to put it, i would get this light as well.
What's the difference between this and the Lyra version?

from what i can tell. it seems to be the lumens and the type of rgb, like the lyra can do better/more/different whites/tones.

1500/RGBICWW lumens lyra

1000/RGBCIW lumens corner floor

Looks like a good deal. This is 1000 Lumen and the 1500 lumen Lyra model is on sale for $89.99 vs base price of $150
Lots of Govee products have coupons on Amazon at the moment. The lyra is 139.99 with a 60 buck coupon so it ends up 79.99

Definitely. And the new version is Matter enabled so that is the replacement for this model but also has the Lyra's higher lumens.

their product may be affordable, but their API for using their Wi-Fi services is completely unreliable. I've had, both, my Home Assistant connection and the Alexa skill completely break for extended periods.

if you're interested in the Wi-Fi capability: stay away from Govee.

This was $39.99 a couple weeks ago on Amazon. May have been a lightning deal, can't remember. But it does go lower if you are on the fence.

Just finally assembled mine. Have to use I think 14 screws to build the base then it really is just a light strip holder.

I'll keep it for $40 but wouldn't buy another for $60.

Guess since they have the floor lamp 2 out now, this is on sale.

Your thought process is complete mush.

You're getting down on them for... advertising?

None of their products are "knockoffs"... who do you think they're mimicking?

As for tracking, get real. Your basement isn't that interesting.

This is my experience as well but I'm hoping the new ones that support Matter are a bit better. Also apparently setting them up using MQTT in HA makes them much better
