Govee's marketing campaigns are pretty aggressive for their knockoff merchandise.
Their products are lackluster, but marketed as though they are extraordinary.
It is cheap junk used to map out your home via its intrusive app. Just say no.
I only use the app for initial setup, after that I control everything via voice assistant and automations. So the less than stellar app is a non-issue.
so far the lyra is nice. no issues. i mainly use it with the included remote, not the app (just easier for my use).
the T2 has been great. so far company seems quality. app is NOT half baked, has a lot of features. if i had a place to put it, i would get this light as well.
1500/RGBICWW lumens lyra
1000/RGBCIW lumens corner floor
Definitely. And the new version is Matter enabled so that is the replacement for this model but also has the Lyra's higher lumens.

if you're interested in the Wi-Fi capability: stay away from Govee.
What's lyra

Just finally assembled mine. Have to use I think 14 screws to build the base then it really is just a light strip holder.
I'll keep it for $40 but wouldn't buy another for $60.
You're getting down on them for... advertising?
None of their products are "knockoffs"... who do you think they're mimicking?
As for tracking, get real. Your basement isn't that interesting.

This is my experience as well but I'm hoping the new ones that support Matter are a bit better. Also apparently setting them up using MQTT in HA makes them much better
