Putting aside that every person hates every appliance company, I think this is a good price. Deal includes 2 years Samsung care for 0.99. Also free install and haul away.
It seems to be in-app only (Shop Samsung app) and requires a discount program.
Washer alone came to 619.19 with Samsung Care for me.
The washer plus matching dryer (gas) combo came out to 1272.83 for me. The bigger discount is on the washer though.
With electric dryer $1180.

Fast forward to 2024, and a $600 appliance continues the Americana tradition of expecting major appliances to last generations, or even outlast our own life!. However, they don't cost multiple paychecks anymore, but we love to hate them, and also love to brag when we have a dishwasher, dryer, or fridge that lasts decades.
Furthermore, appliances are one of those things we forget the most, when they work. Unlike cell phones, computers, etc, which cost so much more and we expect them to become obsolete, consumers are more lenient, when they actually shouldn't be.
How many flagship phones have you owned in the last 10 years? How much out of pocket on spent on them? Now, the same question for a washer/dryer? Exactly...
I've had Samsung appliances for 20 years, and never an issue. My GE fridge? Horrible. Does that mean GE is bad? No.
People don't 'hate every appliance company' they've just learned to avoid Samsung through the pain and suffering of dealing with crappy broken appliances that ruin your food or clothes, and then you have to get these huge things out of your home.

we're currently talking to samsung about this because the dryer in the house we moved into is one of these pieces of crap and the drum is breaking.....one shirt started on fire because the corner where drum is breaking caused the shirt to stay in place whilst the drum kept moving and friction burned it
yeah, no. betwixt this and their crappy azz refrigerators, eff no to Samsung

Only nit-pick complaint is no real buttons, and finding the power touch takes more time than it should. It would've been smart if they single round dial was also power on by other pushing or rotating, but it's not. While SmartThings control is handy, it must first be physically powered on to use remote connection..
Aside from that, they work wonderful, and steam feature on both units is handy
