Does it worth the extra cost vs. lavazza?

I just got 2 bags of another Peet's blend and both had "freshest by" dates that were 30 days away. Something to keep in mind depending on how quickly (or slowly) you go through coffee.

At first I was thinking "6 bags of mulch for $27 seems expensive"

Oh, hells, yes! Lavazza is trash. Compared to Pete's, it has better quality beans. If I didn't have shit ton of the crappy Lavazza, I would hop on this.
I still have some Major Dickasons and if you use it in Nespresso, you can see the quality vs. Lavazza.

I bought a pack of this last month. It is "freshest by May 2024", which is ... Now.

0 out of 10, would not do this again. "Amazon offloading old coffee", as someone else said.

My total came to $21 even before taxes. I guess I'll freeze them as soon as they arrive.

At least it's whole bean unlike most Amazon deals which are pre ground. Whole beam does taste good even after its expiration in my experience. I'm still passing on this but throw it in the freezer and it should be good for a while.

Obviously can't speak to the Use By date of this, as I have my suspicions that it is near expired, but this is by far my favorite roast of Peet's coffee. Dark, but super rich in flavor. I'd put it one step above Major Dickason's.

Good to know. I have been using mostly whatever is cheap lavazza for espresso. Just trying a Peet's French roast for the first time now. Not tasting significant difference but maybe I'll do a side by side blind test to see if I can appreciate the difference.
