Costco has the Aipower GXS7100iRD 7100 starting watts Dual Fuel inverter generator on sale for $999 ($300 off). This deal is good through May 31. Includes remote start.
We have been waiting for this to go on sale since the 2 power outages we had in early April here in the Northeast.
Been kinda looking around for something like this. Duel fuel is a must. Enclosed inverter would be nice, open cage inverter at a min. Is this as good as you can get for a grand?

Based on my general slickdeal browsing this is the best pricing I've seen for watts/dollar when factoring in dual fuel + inverter. The fact that it's Costco makes returns pretty hassle free if you don't like it.
The Honda version is $5K. I know this is no where close to a Honda (which is also Fuel injected), but just for reference - $1K vs $5K is a large difference.
I'm not sure if it's compatible with the unit Costco is selling, a reviewer states "The plug connectors are not compatible with the power generator connector (GXS7100iRd). Item came with a square shape plug while the generator has circle shape plugs."
Maybe because the parallel kit is meant for 12,000 watt and two units from Costco would be more than the parallel kit's capacity?
If someone can confirm whether the parallel kit does work with the unit Costco sells I'm all in.
The manual has some warranty info:
A-iPower Limited Warranty โ 4 Years Residential and 1 Year Commercial.
4 years Residential warranty applies as follow: 1st year Parts & Labor / 2nd & 3rd &4th year Parts ONLY
The only thing I'm on the fence about is its noisy level at 68 dB, which is considered "loud" - equivalent of continuous cars running and city traffic noise...

They probably ordered or received the wrong manufacture kit...probably the Champion kit[homedepot.com]?
Costcos policy for returns on generators is all sales are final
if true, they changed that. i confirmed twice via chat with them, that this generator (when i asked in dec 2023 at $899 then), that it has no time limit on returning it. barring of course it being in terrible condition and then asking for a refund. my chat text is attached.
for the $899 i paid, or $999 now, this is a great value. i had no shipping damage to mine. i had a question on it and called their direct number and the svc mgr answered. he was very nice and did an excellent job explaining.

Seems like a solid deal for an inverter at this wattage + dual fuel + Costco warranty. ๐

Says can't be returned via online.
Read some of the reviews and people with bad Gens simply return to store.
Valid 5/1/24 through 6/16/24. While supplies last.
Never heard of that. Source or link?
