How do folks who have CSR or CSP feel about Chase's travel portal? I find that while I can get a 50% bonus on point redemption, the stuff is usually marked up a bit so that I'm not getting that amazing of a deal in reality. For example, the price might be 10% higher than I could get on Priceline or directly through the airline/rental car company/hotel, so it makes it more like a 35% bonus.

For me, the math on the CSR is becoming hard to justify. The lounge benefit is losing restaurants, the annual fee increased, I don't get a ton of value out of the DoorDash benefit. This is probably my last year, but I might be enticed by another signup bonus like this.
i hardly if ever book directly on the travel portal, not great value because like you said, prices arent the most competitive. i typically use it to transfer points to air france or southwest if i see a good deal with the airlines directly.

The chase travel portal seems competitive with if not identical to Expedia and hotels.com if you book with them frequently. You have to use it at least once per year to get the $50 travel credit. The idea of the Hyatt travel points sounds good, but not enough Hyatts near where I want to travel.

"This product is available to you if you do not have any Sapphire card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for any Sapphire card in the past 48 months."

I copied that from the Chase website. So if you got the bonus from either the Sapphire Preferred or Reserve credit card less than 4 years ago, you're not eligible for this offer.

anyone know when this offer expires?
My Chase banker said "through the summer". I don't think anyone knows for sure. Most offers usually last at least 2 months.

Any answer you get is going to be subjective. It's really going to depend on what you plan to do with the points, which I'm assuming is what you're interested in.

One thing I will say in favor of Chase, they have a lot of credit cards that also earn the same Chase points, making it easy to rack up a bunch in relatively short order. They are:
- Sapphire Preferred (this card)
- Sapphire Reserve (but you'll have to wait 4 years between earning bonus points from either Sapphire card)
- Freedom Unlimited (smaller bonus but it offers 1.5% or more on purchases)
- Freedom Flex (smaller bonus but it offers 5% on purchases for rotating categories)
- Ink Business Preferred
- Ink Business Unlimited
- Ink Business Cash

The last 3 are business credit cards, and I'm not sure if you're comfortable applying for those.

If you have a spouse/partner, you can take turns applying for the same cards and pool them together.

If you open through a Chase branch, you get an additional 10000 points if you spent an extra $2000 within the 6 month. So total 85000 points with $6000 spent in the 6months

I signed-up and was approved. When the card comes will it have the details of how to get the bonus points? I don't see anything when I log into the website.

After you spend $4,000 the points will automatically show up in your Chase account. I believe the exact moment is whenever you get your first statement after spending $4,000. You might see it pending after you reach the spend threshold, though. Just make sure you spend the $4k before the three months is up.

No, there's usually nothing in the documentation you receive with the credit card that talks about the sign up bonus. Typically, in the Chase app there's a tracker that shows your progress towards meeting the spend requirement for the bonus. It might take some time to show up though, like a week or two (?) after you see your credit card in your account.

Alternatively, you can send a secure message to confirm that your newly opened card has the sign up bonus.

Going forward, you may want to start taking screenshots of the bonus offer when you apply for credit cards.

You can call and get it expedited as many have suggested. Alternatively, you can add it to a digital wallet (Apple/Google Pay) as soon as it shows up in ur Chase login. If you don't already have a Chase checking/credit account, note down your application number so you create an account before the card comes and make ur purchase with a digital wallet (if possible)

Hotels aren't as bad but flights are horrible. Anecdotal example, but booked a flight to Kauai a few weeks ago, $610 through Hawaiian airlines. Same flight and class was nearly $750 through Chase.
