no you don't need to be a samsung employee. you just need to be an employee of a company that partners with samsung to offer employee discounts (again, 'employee' doesn't mean samsung employee)

I bought this twice, both were the EPP deals.
It's a better reviewed monitor than the G8 because at 240hz, G8 has reported scanline issues by reviewers and users.
On the other hand, I don't use either of my G7 right now because I work with multiple computers. Samsung monitor doesn't auto switch input like any other monitors, even the cheap $100 ones. I have to reach down to switch input every time I turn on a different computer. It's a pain.

I just bought it for $337. At fisrt it was showing as $449 and then it changed in checkout to $337

Got this when it dropped to $500. The VA panel definitely took some time to get use to. I ended up keeping it. The colors are very vibrant and probably better than my oled. I primary use this for work.

Got it for $450 a while back and it is an amazing monitor for the PS5! The display definitely maximized my gaming experience. I don't even notice the screen is curved any more when playing games.

Colors are vivid and blacks are super inky...

No speakers but connected external speakers via 3.5mm out from monitor.

I would buy the Neo G7 over the Neo G8, since the screen is matte and no scan line issues.
