24 hour deal for 5/2. Obviously not, as it is still $99. Confusing, as it was a Shell Shocker on 5/2 with the 24 hour timer.

$5 promotional gift card w/ purchase, limited offer By KingSpec Official Store

Note: Newegg $5.00 Promotional Gift Card (Email Delivery) Your Promotional Gift Card will be emailed 4 days after invoice. The gift card will expire 365 days after issue.

Product specs:

Series: NX 2280 Series
Model: NX-2TB-2280
Part Number: NX-2TB-2280

Max Sequential Read
Up to 3500 MBps

Max Sequential Write
Up to 3100 MBps

4KB Random Read
Up to 300,000 IOPS

4KB Random Write
Up to 250,000 IOPS

TBW
1200TB

MTBF
1,000,000 hours

3 year warranty

HeatSink: Yes

No experience with the brand/model, but $50/TB threshold and 1200TB TBW which I think is good for this capacity. Gen 3 though. No indication from the page what the cache/DRAM is.

Also 1TB for $56.99 ($121.99), 512GB for $33.99 ($70.00), 256GB for $23.99 ($29.99), 128GB for $18.99 ($34.99).

I'm sorry, a list price of 231.99 for a 2TB gen3 drive? When? way back when gen3 was first released?

Good performance SN750-SE-ish performance with all Chinese parts. It's $15+GC less than the next drive I'd consider, so I guess if you needed a drive?

Good looking out, but that's a hard sale against a much faster, more reputable option for $15 more: https://slickdeals.net/f/17466252-2tb-acer-predator-gm7000-nvme-pcie-gen4-gaming-solid-state-drive-114-free-shipping?src=SiteSearchV2Algo

But who's going to be the first to buy when prices drop? Then there is a surge of purchases of those with FOMO and prices rise back up.

This is my baseline.
This is how much I paid less than 12 months ago on sale.

Crucial MX500 2TB $80
Solidigm P41 2TB $61
Team Group MP34 2TB $80

Tech is one area I will never pay more for less. I am holding out.

If you guys need a drive, just buy it. For all the others, hold the line.

And you're never going to get an SSD (new) ever again by those baselines you're going for. People need to realize a year+ ago prices were special due to massive over estimation of consumer desire, and there was an absurdly large number of unsold SSDs which is precisely why prices dropped so much. Literally every chip manufacturer cut back production just to make sure there isn't such an over abundance of excess goods

Chance? I guarantee you the prices will come down. This is hardware, not a Big Mac. They still sell 512 and 1tb drives. 2tb drives are not going away. 4tb are starting to drop. 2tb will follow.
