The G14 that regularly goes on sale for $999 is personally the only laptop I've ever seen under $1k that I would buy. It's 14" but it's 1600p 165hz, and I honestly have no problem gaming on a 14" screen. Plus it's like 2.5 pounds lighter and much thinner. Just overall a better package.
My opinion? This deal offers a lot of bang for the buck with very close specs to that Acer.
