Had a $10 BestBuy Reward expiring soon, so figured I'd pick one up. I imagine it's hard to beat at $27 - $10 reward code for a total of $17.

Thanks for posting!

Yes, for that money, very hard to beat.

I will say that my experience with this microphone is that it is miles ahead of anything built-in to your PC/webcam, and probably anything else in it's price range. It has a solid condenser microphone, that has adjustable pick-up patterns which can be great for use with a podcast interview or with recording environmental sounds. It could be used to record professionally with the proper booth setup. But, that being said, there are some things to consider:

This does not have a built-in headphone jack, so you cannot easily monitor yourself talking. If you don't use an audio interface, you may experience some latency using your PC's onboard soundcard monitor yourself.

This only uses USB for both power and audio transmission, which should be fine for it's target audience. If you have anything that only accepts XLR or 1/4" input then you can't use this with it. The amount of power this requires means you probably can't use it with your tablet (cannot speak for very modern tablets, I last owned this two years ago).

It is rather large and the stand is very short. But it does have an excellent pick-up pattern so you will not need it close to your mouth to pick you up.

Compared to the Yeti, it has a less warm recording tone.

Feels light and the plastic is a little thin, but the stand is solid metal with rubber feet.

Overall, for this price, it's a great standalone microphone and will make you sound really good on your next zoom or discord call!

Also dead at Best Buy. I have original non-iCE version that uses mini-USB (not even micro!)

The plug is failing and not making solid contact any longer
