The Redux editions are like remasters; adding stuff like raytracing and also they contain a difficulty (or rebalancing) that allows you to play the game much more run-and-gun as opposed to stealth. More action, more ammo drops, less survival stuff. I think the 'Definitive' includes all DLC. You can get this with or without the Redux. Redux (in Steam at least) is treated like a independant game, not a DLC. So you need to be careful to buy the DLC for the correct version.

FWIW I much prefer the Redux versions vs the vanilla version .

But yes, the entire thing is as clear as mud Wink

So I bought the saga bundle for 12$ there.. looks like it has all 3 games, + 2 expansions for the exodus.

I think that means you should own 100% of Metro's content. You can always play 2033 and Last Light in normal or the updated "spartan" mode.

Note, some of the DLC / extra levels are hidden under the chapters tab. You have to switch back and forth between main game content and DLC. At least on the PC. Sniper Elite 3 & 4 do it like this. At first it appears like the content is missing but is just buried in a menu.

Oh, and there are some extra guns I believe. Those are just peppered into the normal gameplay regardless of what mode you choose.

The Metro 2033 & Metro Last Light originals were on PC and really pushed hardware at the time they came out. Redux are better optimized and enhanced editions of the games. And allowed for the console port.

Although some would argue the dark atmosphere in the OG versions are better. Gave it a more creepy feel.
You can see YouTube comparisons.
It's just like OG Doom 3 vs Doom 3 BFG edition. The lighting changed so much that it's bright even in the darkest places where shadow detail got washed out.

If you buy Exodus and own a PS5, you'll get the enhanced edition with ray tracing.

For $3 this is definitely worth a play through. If you like STALKER, this is like a linear version of that. Minus the RPG element.

Played the Original and Redux Versions on PC and it's a steal at this price. Amazing games! If I never played them and wanted to jump in now, I'd play the Redux versions.

The Redux versions really stayed true to the originals for the most part - just different graphics wise. You'll probably find purists that disagree but there will always be differing opinions on this.

That said the original versions for it's age are still very good graphics-wise.

Metro games are among my favorite all timers. Buy without hesitation if you still do not have it.

Wouldn't it be even cheaper to buy the $2.99 Redux and then buy Exodus Gold Edition on sale right now for $5.99? I think those two together include everything in that Saga bundle, right?

You are right, there may be some dlc in the more expensive bundle but the smart play imo is what you said.

Exodus is great btw

Based off what I see, you get everything the Saga bundle includes, but the Gold Edition also includes some "Spring Dynamic Theme", obviously only applicable to PS4.

So, $9.98 gets everything in Saga bundle plus that theme. I think it comes-out cheaper sincer the individual/separate purchases are on deeper discounts (Exodus Gold 85% Off & Redux 90% Off; Saga is 80% Off).

Yep, you are right! Sony does this sort on nonsense all the time, but if you dont scroll through the hour long list of games you may never know. Its also really classy when they put complete editions on sale for less then the season pass, a complete FU to all the people who already own the base game and just want dlc.
