When you save some more, get tower speakers from front.
I bought it $220 open box and some how I believe 199 at Best Buy once.

I'm starting to look for audio deals again since I'm planning to upgrade my Vizio v51-H6 with either a beefier sound bar or a HTIB trying to stay under or near $1000

Wifi is important if you want to be able to control it from another location and be able to set up using an app, very handy as a remote to adjust settings or scenes or modes, also helpful if you want to stream without need of an app. Those you mentioned require another device to control and stream from, while wifi enabled AVRs will have pandora/spotify/tunein radio or similar online radios built in that you can just listen to right off the device. You can always hook up something like Echo Dot or Echo with speaker output and you can do that too.
This thing sounds great with a little better speakers, it still sounds 10 times better right out of box with the crappy wire and subwoofer than any "virtual surround" soundbar you can buy honestly.
Paying $400 or $1000, with speakers, it's same thing. Unless you go up to much better level AVRs with processors and bigger speakers, you will easily go into $3-$5k category to be able to hear the difference.
You guys actually can find something to buy on FB marketplace? I thought it's just full of "free" stuff and $10 patio furniture that isn't, or $2000 cars that aren't. I would not buy anything from FB marketplace unless I know who I am getting from like neighbor or something.
Speakers, maybe...
AVR? No.
