This deal has been up for a while now, and is still ongoing. I got mine a couple weeks ago and it sounds great especially coming from my BIC PL-200 (which was great in its own right). This sub is much tighter with more clarity and of course much more output. This sub is not overly boomy, I really like it… but it's HUGE for a 14" sub!
Adorama shipped it fast and the box was in perfect shape (surprising as this is close to 84lbs). Lots of people saying Adorama doesn't handle shipping well; mine was perfect.
If you can find a spot for this monster, you won't be disappointed! I believe this is the best Home Theater value you could possibly get.
Your question is akin to saying "this Toyota Corolla or this Ferrari Roma". They are both cars, but it's hard to compare the two otherwise. If your budget for a sub is $100, get the Jamo. If your budget is $700, this is a great option.
Got a pair of these to replace my dual svs pb-1000 and the diffference is telling. During movies, the subsonic bass that you can feel pressurizing your body is insane. Even with the gain at just 6, I have to turn down my AVR sub db to -2.

I'm planning to run this sub straight from my Klipsch Cinema 600 soundbar in my bedroom. It is one of the only soundbars that has a Sub Out and it also comes with a 10" sub that is pretty decent on its own -- I can run both the 10" wireless stock sub and the RP-1400 from this soundbar, lol. They're $299 new from Klipsch now, or $212 refurbished on ebay.
I have looked at this deal every day for the last 2 months, put it in the cart, went to check out twice, finally hit pay yesterday then kept thinking about canceling... I have a small room #1000 cbf boom by a Yamaha YST1500. It's a beautiful sub but not much output below 30hz. I like the Tonewinner D4000 because of its size but why pay more for less. I hope that I won't regret this.
If you're like me you'll get this setup and love it so much you'll be thinking about getting a second.
My theater room is 13 x 10 x 8 and my set up is 7.1.4. All 7 speakers of the bed layer are B&W towers. There is no room for 1 of this let alone 2. Beside, it's a 1 seat man cave so not worry about seat to seat consistent.
One of my subs was acting up, I was about to pull the trigger on this... But it rose like the undertaker once it was plugged in fully... Was kind of happy but.......
If you're like me you'll get this setup and love it so much you'll be thinking about getting a second.
But your room has four corners... These have a design flaw, they are not stackable... I have tried the feet are too far out and sit on the radius at the top... So only 4 not 8.

This is a great idea to use your old subwoofers on a second TV. The 800 is 399.

It's recommended you do NOT put a subwoofer in a corner because, while it boosts bass, it doesn't boost it uniformly

Generally you don't want to put a subwoofer in a corner or against a wall. Also, not all home theater areas have 4 corners so it's not quite that simple (my area doesn't have a back wall but rather joins another room. As far as stacking, could you put a piece of MDF between the subwoofers to account for the feet?
Are the lows clean, does it get lower than your previous, is the sound pretty clean, and loud? How well does it sound close to the 11 mark? Is it also good for music? Did you have to put your previous, 115sw on 6+ on your receiver?
The lows are clean, way better quality than the 115. I just watched edge of tomorrow and my windows were shaking. I had the 115 on 1.5+. At 11 is too loud.
Can anyone speak from personal experience or has data…
I just got the 16" version of this sub and put it in my basement, replacing the older 15" RSW-115 version. Both are beastly, but I'd like to hook up both.
I was short sighted and bought a receiver with only one sub pre-out. Can I use a Y-splitter to run both subs with no sound degradation? I've read that while it's possible, the subs may actually suffer from less output.
I was surprised this never gets flagged as expired, and then I realized something I've never seen on here before...
If you click the slickdeals link the price is 699, even in cart.
But if you google this product, find the exact same item on Adrorama, it's $1099. Even after adding it to cart.
So this seems to be a deal specifically targeting slickdeals. Pretty interesting.
It's not unique to this deal. I've noticed with a lot of the deals at Adorama, you indeed have to use the right link in order to see the deal price. As you saw, clicking the link from the SD page shows the deal price, whereas searching for the item on Adorama's site will show the full non-deal price.
From my limited testing, it appears to be the "emailprice=t" in the URL parameters that makes the difference, eg in this case all that's required is:
I'm more inclined to think that it's targeted at their email list, rather than targeted at SD, but who knows what the "t" value means in their webserver.

Nice find. I guess I've never spent so much time waffling over a product. I even ordered and cancelled it only to see the price go up. Or so I thought.
Mine is here, USPS even carried it up 3 flights of stairs to drop it at my door.
My box was gouged, a couple flaps ripped straight out of the box big enough to fit your hand into, but the sub is not damaged and looks great. Just like what others have reported, I don't even hear the sub until the gain is at 7. Have it at 8 now and will slowly dial it up; its nowhere near powerful at this volume, but it does sound nice and has great extension at low volume. I also pulled open a bass sweep on youtube and it immediately began shaking the foundation of the building at 20hz.
Edit: I'm running it straight from the Sub Out on my Klipsch Cinema 600 soundbar. This sub also looks insane, it is amazing to witness in person. It's shocking how many of these competing $1k+ subs look like shit
Edit2: I switched out my single RCA cable for a 2 RCA Y-split power cable, set the gain to 9, set my Low Pass to 50hz, and this thing is starting to eat. It's somewhat wild how low this thing is hitting (I listen to phonk).

Yes I have that setup currently splitting 4 subs.
