The Hampton Bay 52-in. Sidlow ceiling fan offers traditional styling and impressive, quiet performance. This fan includes three 8.5-Watt LED bulbs for maximum light output and includes frosted white shatter resistant plastic shades that mimic frosted glass with the added benefit of not breaking if dropped during cleaning. Installation is a breeze with QuickFit features like a slide-on mounting bracket and Quick Install blades. The rich bronze housing is complemented with 5 reversible blades in wenge and reclaimed walnut finish to coordinate with many of today's indoor decor trends.

This. And they don't last. We had to trash entire fans bc we couldn't get replacement LED assemblies from Hampton Bay / home depot. While the fan motor has lifetime warranty everything else is only 2 yrs. It was after the 2 yrs. They said if it was within warranty they would ship a new LED assembly but bc we are out of warranty they cannot, and they refused to sell us the part. It's completely and utterly stupid. Avoid all integrated LED ceiling fans and fixtures.

For anyone with ears sensitive to high frequency the Wellton 54 and 60in DC fan has a high frequency "coil while" around 12khz (verified with an audio spectrum analyzer app on phone). The noise was too annoying in a quiet home office so I switched them to AC fans

They claim this is not normal and they will replace fans with this problem.
That is about the only fan with regular light bulbs.
Most of these integrated lights are only 1300 lumens though one is 2400. For a large room that is still not enough.

Ordered a couple of the Wesley 52 in[homedepot.com]. DC motor, 50% discount, no lights to worry about. I saw this model in the store the other day and it looked nice.

Then I would need to go into the attic and add four pod lights. Repurpose the red wire to those lights.
It would provide better light but I am not that good at that.
Didn't really know there were two types for ceiling fans but just got a DC Vornado. Also, my new ceiling fan in my bedroom has a loud hum when it runs. Is that an AC fan thing?
