This seems to say it is stronger than the I5 1135g7
I understand newer CPU's are stronger but this is a refurb
"Maximum Battery Run Time
13 Hours"
PC World ran test on the weaker Ryzen version and got 12 hours so I doubt this would be a problem.

Fan can get a little loud but par for course for a cheap laptop I guess. I can hear some kind of coil whine or something when the CPU is active, too.
Screen quality and brightness is nothing to write home about (good luck trying to see anything in bright sunlight outside; this is an indoors-oriented laptop). Touchscreen is ok.
The NVME memory drive is slower than every 12th-gen Intel laptop I have, but good enough. (After encryption, CrystalDiskMark says 883 and 880 MB/s max read/write sequential; Random 4KQ1T1 is 30 and 57 MB/s. That's about half as fast as my 2nd-slowest laptop, which gets ~2500/1000 and ~53/137.).
Battery life is poor, but typical at this price point. (At least it lets you set the max charge to 80%. Lithium ion batteries can only charge/discharge a certain number of times before they start losing capacity. Longevity is best if you stay between 20 to 80% of max charge. Don't buy crappy brands like HP that don't let you set max charge to 80% or lower, for consumer laptops. HP allows it for business laptops only. Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, and others all allow manually limiting max charge to 80% or lower.)
No backlit keyboard, and mushy keyboard feeling and plastic body aren't great imho but I recognize this may be subjective. Connectivity is amazing: both USB-A are USB 3.0 (fast, 5 Gbps) so no having to remember, or peek at the port color to see if it's 2.0 or 3.0. The USB-C port is great for this price tier of laptop: USB-C charging/10 Gbps/DisplayPort over USB-C. They include only a barrel AC adapter rather than a USB-C AC adapter, but in doing so, it frees up the USB-C port for something other than charging, too.
Webcam is meh. I haven't tested Bluetooth yet, but it's 5 I think. Speakers aren't great, same as with most cheap laptops.
The soldered, nonupgradeable, nonexpandable memory is low-power DDR5 so not as good for graphics, but the iGPU isn't great anyway so you probably weren't going to game on this laptop. iGPU can still easily hardware-decode 4k60 AV1 (I've tested this) and do very lightweight gaming. HOWEVER, the HDMI2.1/firmware/software can do ultrawide monitors so it works fine with my 5120x1440 monitor. Believe it or not, not every laptop can. I have a pair of Lenovo 12th-gen Intels that can't do unusual aspect ratios, even though my ASUS 12th-gen and these Acer 7520Us have no problems.
I don't think the CPU stuff matters for anyone not using their laptop for heavier-duty tasks like the latest 3D games or heavy photovideo processing. Here's why:
The AMD 7520U CPU gives you close to the same level of performance as a midrange 2021 Intel Core i5-1135G7 and ahead of the i3-1115G4. The laptop is geared toward basic office/entertainment/very light gaming, so I'd say the CPU is perfectly fine for that.
That said, it's true that 12th gen Intel was a major increase in single-threaded performance. For single-threaded programs, a Core i7-1260P 12th gen laptop CPU from 2022 matches a Core i7-11700K desktop CPU from 2021. https://cpu.userbenchma
So if you are a power user, you should get a 12th gen or higher Intel CPU (or AMD equivalent), and proper DDR5 RAM (not low power LPDDR5), which takes you in to a higher price tier than this $264 laptop.
If it had an sd slot it would literally be perfect, I bought on just because it offered a 2yr warranty and their website does not
Looking for a light gaming PC for the kids and so it's Iris Xe vs Radeon 610M graphics.
