I purchased that deal too $429.99 on May 2nd. I called Costco just now and they mentioned that all those who purchased the Southwest gift cards before the further $10 price drop will automatically receive an email with a Costco gift card for the $10 per gift card that they can use in store or online !

PSA for families or those who book for multiple people: yes you can add the funds to your SW account by booking a refundable fare and cancelling, and those credits do not expire, as noted above.

HOWEVER, those credits can only be used on your own tickets now. I.e., in gift card form you could apply the GC to your entire family's tickets, but in flight credit form you can only apply amount to tickets in your own name.

Anyone know if these count for your 2% cash back from Costco, and I'm pretty sure it counts for the 2% bonus cash back from the Citi Visa Costco card. So it should be another 2% or even 4% sweeter from Costco.

Don't know about Sam's Plus cash back on their deal, or if the Sam's MasterCard has a similar deal from Synchrony (the issuing bank).

Or do these qualify under the "travel" category for the travel category cash back? (3%?)

Yes, I just got off the phone with them also, and they told me this as well. We all should automatically be receiving emails this Monday, May 6th with the $10 Costco gift card. Very cool!

Yes, it's currently available in stores that carry Southwest gift cards. Some stores may not but best to call to check if they have it at whichever warehouse you plan on going.
