I didn't actually finish checking out, but, even though the terms state "No product or ingredient substitutions, upgrades, or add-ons.", the promo still deducted the appropriate amount off with the supreme add-on included with the 5 soft tacos.
As usual, protein substitutions work just fine (even with refried beans, though the terms only state beef or black beans).
edit: To clarify, my cart still showed an upcharge for the supreme ingredients, but I was still only charged $5 for the 5 base tacos (after the promo $ deduction).

This is a deal? I wouldn't pay a $1 for their janky tacos. That's if they get your order right.
I agree, this is mediocre fast food deal. Mostly because their tacos are by far more overpriced then their other foods. But my wife loves their tacos so I might get some if she wants to

To clarify, you are not saying you can add additional +cost ingredients and get the same price. But you *are* allowed to pay for +cost ingredients on your order and have the promo still work (albeit you are still paying for the extra ingredients)

Same here. She just told me she'd pay $2 for a Taco Bell taco. That's $1.50 more than I'd pay.

29c, 39c, 49c tacos!
I say this as someone that likes Taco Bell.
Crazy that this is considered a deal.
A tortilla, a tablespoon of ground semi beef, a pinch of shredded cheese and lettuce. That's $1. Come on, TB. Be reasonable.
