Yeah thats the thing. People buy it without reading or learning how it works. It needs to sit and soak for a while (lysol says 15 minutes) in order to sanitize your laundry. So when people just put it in the rinse cycle it doesn't actually do anything. Your better off adding a prewash and a vinegar rinse to really clean your laundry and get rid of smells. unless you want to baby sit your laundry then go ahead and add this in.

I usually use this in a rinse cycle OR a quick wash with "low" spin and let it sit for a while. I then follow it up with a regular wash cycle or quick wash cycle, respectively. I think it works well. I've left washed, wet jackets stacked on top of each other for a couple of days without odors after.

FYI:
The main difference between the regular and sport versions of Lysol laundry sanitizer is the scent. The sport version has a light, airy aroma with floral and woody notes, while the regular version has a stronger floral scent. Both eliminate bacteria and viruses, but the sport scent is designed to be more appealing for activewear.
