Have both this one and the solar version. Solar charging is cool and the atomic time sync works great. However, the backlight on this version is better and watch beeps are significantly louder in this one if that matters. The deeply depressed reset button is super annoying though.

Great price on a great watch. Beauty is subjective, but this won't win any contests lol. Still, it's unbelievably durable and is smaller than all of the other gshocks so it fits much better under a shirt or jacket. The buttons aren't very easy to use, but it also means you don't press them accidentally.

Great price for a piece of history. This rugged watch is a direct descendant of the first g-shock watch to become popular in the 80s ...the one in the iconic hockey puck ad. Classic looks that has been a part of history for the past 40 years. I like the green electroluminescent backlight better than the white LED used on newer models.

Shock resistant, 200m water resistance, NASA certified. Holds world record for surviving being run over by the heaviest truck.

Replaceable battery is rated for 2 years but usually last much longer depending on usage

Great price, I paid 45$ about 6 months ago. I've used it working on vehicles, relaxing in hot springs, and traveling where a more expensive watch might be a theft target. I like that its durable and will not scratch delicate surfaces.
Now I kinda wish I got the atomic time version, but at this price, its a no brainer beater watch with fantastic functionality and mojo.
